JCDecaux in Slovakia
In Slovakia, the JCDecaux Group is represented by J.C. DECAUX SLOVAKIA s.r.o., ISPA s.r.o. and EUROPLAKAT- INTERWERB s.r.o.
In 1990, still under the name GUVE, long-term contracts were signed with the cities of Bratislava and Košice and J.C. DECAUX SLOVAKIA built public transport shelters in these cities at its own expense. The construction and subsequent maintenance, repair and cleaning is financed exclusively from the revenues from the advertising panels - citylights, which are part of public transport shelters in the busiest places of the cities. The Company's product portfolio was expanded to include EUROPLAKAT- INTERWERB citylights in the centre of Žilina in 2002 and CityLightBoards in Bratislava and Košice in 2008.
Established in 1990, ISPA entered the Slovak outdoor advertising market as the local subsidiary of the Austrian company ISPA Werbung. In 1992 it transformed into ISPA s.r.o. Since 2001 ISPA is wholly owned by the Austrian outdoor advertising company Gewista - Werbegesellschaft m.b.H., which is also a part of JCDecaux Group.
ISPA's product portfolio currently includes the following media: backlights, billboards, bigboards, megaboards, facades, bridgeboards, mobile boards, and information signs on street light poles.
